Postdoctoral Position in Plant Mechanotransduction

A postdoctoral position is open in the Haswell Lab at Washington University in St. Louis (http://pages.wustl.edu/haswell) to investigate the molecular mechanisms by which plants and bacteria sense and respond to mechanical stimuli. We are particularly interested in the role played by mechanosensitive ion channels in force perception. This position is best for an independent and resourceful individual interested in research at the interface of biophysics and cell biology. The successful candidate will have a PhD in a relevant discipline and have demonstrated molecular biology, genetic, or electrophysiological skills. Salary will be determined according to the NIH scale.
